My relationship with Venetian plaster began nearly forty years ago.
What started as curiosity became a lifelong fascination. Over the years I have applied these finishes in homes, studios, staircases, bathrooms and countless other spaces.
What still attracts me is the same thing that caught my attention all those years ago: the way light moves across the surface. The depth. The subtle imperfections. The feeling that something has been made by hand.

The new chapter
After many years working across construction, energy-efficient building and sustainable design, GLO Surface began with a simple question: could something functional also be beautiful?
Where craft meets heat
The surface isyours to choose.
GLO Surface grew from Josef’s years working with plaster and the team’s experience in construction and heating. The idea was to make radiant warmth part of the surfaces already around us, rather than an object added to the room afterwards.
The heating forms the foundation. Over it, the surface can be quiet and architectural, or it can become a piece of art. On the circular panels, Josef works a radial pattern into the plaster before applying the metallic finish by hand. Light catches each pass of the tool differently.
That same approach carries through walls, panels and floors: understand the space first, integrate the heating, then finish the surface with care.

GLO Surface brings together craftsmanship, construction knowledge and heating technology. We work with you to understand the space, how it is used and where warmth is needed. From technical planning and installation through to the final surface, each project is designed for the space it belongs in.

Every piece is made in the Naduir workshop in County Galway.
Colours are mixed, adjusted and tested until the right balance is achieved.
